Patek Philippe Twenty~4 4910/1201R-010: The Two-Year Rose Gold Rarity
Launched for the Twenty~4 collection's 25th anniversary in 2024 and gone from the catalogue barely two years later, the rose gold 4910/1201R-010 with its purple lacquered dial is one of the shortest-lived Patek Philippe references of recent years — and we have a new, unworn example in our Istanbul showroom.

Some Patek Philippe references stay in production for decades. The Calatrava 96 ran for over forty years. And then there are watches like the Twenty~4 4910/1201R-010: introduced in April 2024 to celebrate the collection's 25th anniversary, and quietly out of the production line-up by early 2026. A run of barely two years.
In our experience, it is exactly these short-lived references that collectors come asking about five or ten years later — usually after they have become very hard to find.

The 25th Anniversary Manchette
The Twenty~4 story begins in 1999, when Patek Philippe launched its first collection designed exclusively for women. The original 4910/10A — a stainless steel quartz watch with a diamond-set "manchette" (cuff) case — became one of the most recognizable ladies' watches of its era.
For the collection's 25th anniversary in 2024, Patek Philippe returned to that original cuff silhouette with the 4910/1201R-010 — for the first time in this generation, in rose gold:
The purple lacquered dial is the detail that sets this reference apart in person. Photographs flatten it; in the metal, the embossed waves under the translucent lacquer give the dial genuine depth, much like the lacquer work Patek reserves for its rare handcrafts pieces.
Why the Short Production Run Matters
Patek Philippe has been steadily concentrating its catalogue on mechanical movements, and the quartz references have been the quiet casualties of that strategy. When the production line-up was trimmed in early 2026, the 4910/1201R-010 was among the references to go — making its effective production window roughly April 2024 to early 2026.
Two years is a remarkably short life for a precious-metal Patek Philippe. For collectors, this combination matters:
- Anniversary significance. This was the reference Patek chose to mark 25 years of the Twenty~4 — a one-time occasion.
- Low production volume. Gem-set rose gold cases are produced in small numbers to begin with; two years of production caps the total supply permanently.
- The only rose gold manchette of its generation. The contemporary quartz Twenty~4 line was otherwise steel (4910/1200A). The R-010 stands alone.
We saw the same pattern with the Nautilus 5711/1A-014 olive dial: a short-run farewell reference whose significance was understood only after it was gone.
The Market Today
At launch, the 4910/1201R-010 retailed for approximately $46,880. On the secondary market, asking prices currently range from roughly $39,000 to just under $50,000 depending on condition and completeness — unusually close to retail for a recently discontinued reference, which tells us the market has not yet priced in the end of production.
As always with modern Patek Philippe, completeness drives value: the full set with certificate of origin, presentation box, and original sales documentation will age far better than a watch alone.
